The research of the local startup ecosystem was conducted, the concept of contest for startups and business ideas in the field of security in Mexico was created, the corporate identity, website in English and Spanish and all the necessary tools for the reception of applications and work with the participants taking into account local legislation were developed.
The PR-campaign was organized in the Internet and social networks, the affiliate network with the involvement of more than 20 accelerators, business incubators, media, startup-communities and development institutions was built. The GoTech team along with Kaspersky experts selected best startups and helped them to prepare presentations to the final. Demo Day was held in Mexico City in the WeWork co-working center.
135 teams from 33 cities of Mexico took part in the contest. During the preliminary selection, the participants ‘ applications, as well as video presentations and online pitching of 25 semi-finalists, were evaluated. 10 best projects took part in Demo Day, which resulted in 3 winners receiving cash prizes in a total amount of 350 thousand pesos (more than 18 thousand USD). During the advertising campaign more than 100 announcements were made in social networks and partner mailings, 1100 personal invitations were sent, the audience coverage of posts in Facebook exceeded 80,000 people.
