Kirovsky Zavod is one of the largest machine-building enterprises in Russia. The company has a venture fund for investments, as well as an accelerator for piloting and implementation of new solutions and technologies.
The GoTech Innovation team along with Kirovsky Zavod has launched the acceleration program website with a news blog and an integrated application form. Large-scale work on scouting and personal invitation of target startups was carried out. The information campaign devoted to the acceleration program and plans on work with startups was done in social networks. A series of interviews with representatives of Kirovsky Zavod and graduates of the first accelerator set has been released. In Minsk and St. Petersburg, there were organized on-the-spot pitch sessions, where selected startups presented their solutions to the experts of Kirovsky Zavod and partners from corporations and venture funds.
287 applications from 10 countries and 67 cities were submitted to the contest. The experts of Kirovsky Zavod selected 23 companies to participate in the final. Within 2 days during the final events in St. Petersburg 30 mentors from Kirovsky Zavod and partners held personal meetings and evaluated the participants’ presentations. As a result, 8 companies were invited to the acceleration program for industrial startups.
