Retail Innovation Tech Alliance (RITA), consisting of X5 Retail Group, Beeline, M.Video-Eldorado Group, and Hoff summed up the results of the first stage of the scouting program. As part of the selection of startups, 395 applications were received from 17 countries (Russia, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Israel, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, USA, Serbia, Ukraine, Finland, Estonia). The volume of applications received 4 times exceeded the program plan. 15 startups reached the finals and participated in the online Deal Flow Session with the RITA experts. Nomination is focused on Russian tech startups aimed to enter US and European markets through Estonia. Main selection criteria for finalists are the finished product with a customer validation and sales on the Russian market.
Startup Estonia is looking for startups that develop solutions in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, information and communication technologies, financial technologies and SaaS.
10 finalists will be invited to participate in a Pitch Session with Startup Estonia experts at the GoTech Arena forum on October 15, 2019 in Moscow. As a result of the session the winner will be chosen to get the assistance in starting and developing business in Estonia, networking with investors and potential partners, mentoring and information support, as well as round trip funded by Startup Estonia for the team (max 5 people) to come to Estonia for Tallinn Startup Week on November 11-15, 2019.

The winners of all nominations will be announced during GoTech arena conference in Moscow on October 15. The event will gather 1200 entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of large companies and startups. The ticket sale to the forum is currently open.
