Helsinki Centre in St. Petersburg has established a special Finlanding nomination for the GoTech Contest. Russian Tech companies aimed to enter the European market through Finland are invited to participate.

X5 Retail Group, leading Russian food retailer (LSE and MOEX ticker: “FIVE”), has launched the review process of technological startups from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to implement their solutions at the corporation’s own retail chains. The best companies will be given access to the infrastructure resources and expertise of the country’s largest retailer as well as an opportunity to implement a pilot project with a budget of up to 700,000 euros.

GoTech Innovation is launching  an independent study of corporate open innovation activities.

One way that corporations spur innovation is by working with startups—through mechanisms such as corporate accelerators, venture builders and venture clients. To discover the challenges that arise in these initiatives, this research was conducted with more than 120 CINOs in 22 sectors.

The Jury of Startup Connect Contest selected the best projects for the final pitch session at  *Ship Startup Festival on August 1-2 in Kotka (Finland). The contest is organized by GoTech Innovation with Cursor Oy.

On June 10 we closed the applications for the Startup Connect contest that lasted more than two months. While startups-participants are waiting for the finalist’s announcement, we have prepared for you the statistics of all applications from the teams.

The submission period for the GoTech contest is now open. The first 2 nominations are announced: Arena Pitch and SKL Tech from the business incubator of the company SOKOLOV Jewelry. Acceptance of applications will last 4 months, during this time the organizers plan to launch at least 10 industry tracks and nominations within GoTech.

On May 23-24 the two-day final selection of startups in the accelerator of the Kirovsky Zavod for industrial startups took place. According to the results of the final, 8 best technology companies were selected to participate in the accelerator program.

We are now announcing 14 best projects selected by Startup Estonia experts to participate in the Go Estonia pitch session.
